  ।। नर्मदे हर ।। Uttarvahini Narmada Parikrama Mahiti :- नर्मदा परिक्रमा हे प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक व्रत आहे.तरी उत्तरावाहिनी नर्मदा परिक्रमेबद्दल फारच अल्प माहिती सापडते. तिलकवाडा (गुजरात) येथे नर्मदा नदी उत्तरावाहिनी होते आणि पुढे रामपुरापर्यंत ती उत्तरावाहिनी राहते आणि नंतर तिचा प्रवाह पूर्ववत होतो. तिलकवाडा-रामपुरा-तिलकवाडा या २१ किलोमीटरच्या टप्प्यावर नर्मदेच्या तीरावरून केल्या जाणाऱ्या परिक्रमेला उत्तरावाहिनी नर्मदापरिक्रमा म्हणतात. ज्यांना संपूर्ण परिक्रमा करणे शक्य नाही असे भाविक उत्तरावाहिनी प्रदक्षिणा करतात. तिलकवाडा ते रामपुरा या परिसरात फक्त चैत्र महिन्यात ही उत्तरवाहिनी परिक्रमा केली जाते. जो कुणी चैत्र महिन्यात उत्तरवाहिनी नर्मदा परिक्रमा करेल, त्याला संपूर्ण नर्मदा परिक्रमा केल्याचे पुण्य मिळेल, असे नर्मदा पुराणामध्ये व स्कंद पुराणामध्ये म्हटले आहे. ही परिक्रमा तिलकवाडा येथून उत्तर तटावरून सुरू होते, उत्तर तट संपल्यावर नावेने समोरील तीरावर म्हणजे दक्षिण तट रामपुरा येथे यावे लागते. येथे आल्यावर प्रथम घाटावर स्नान करून तेथील नर्मदामैयाचे जल घेऊन घाटावरील तीर्थेश्‍वर महादेव मंदिर
